Containership stuck in Suez Canal

Tuesday, a huge 400-meter ship from the Taiwan shipping company Evergreen got stuck in the Suez Canal. Because of hard wind and a sand storm this ship came to lie across the canal, causing a huge traffic jam of ships. 

Delayed ships

The ship, which weighs 224.000 tons, is hard to bring back in the right direction. It was on its way from China to the port of Rotterdam, where it was planned to arrive on the 31st of March. It is not certain when the ship will arrive at its destination, but it is definitely delayed. Many other ships on this route are delayed as well due to this unfortunate occurrence.
